Hi, I'm Mahmud Asrul

I sell ice cream and coffee with my friends. Six outlets around Jakarta. It started as a small act of joy, giving students something simple to smile about.

My curiosity lies in how systems evolve from finance to human behavior, from AI to the future of intelligence itself. I like exploring how small experiments can reveal how the world really works.

I write on Uud Archive — a space where I think aloud about technology, quant, energy, and the future. I'm interested in how intelligence compounds, how progress aligns with meaning.

During university, I explored many things, became a Global Nominee in the NASA Hackathon, reached the semifinals of an international equity research competition, and spent five years competing and coaching debate. I also started a private networking club for students connecting the underdogs of the future from campuses like Harvard, NUS, Oxford, and top Indonesian universities.
